About GFWC
Each year, the GFWC Curwensville Woman’s Club proudly sponsors the Curwensville Susquehanna 5K Race on the Saturday of Curwensville Days. The GFWC Woman’s Club is one of the oldest and largest women’s volunteer service organizations in the world, dedicated to improving local communities through civic engagement, volunteer service, and philanthropy.
The club’s contributions include organizing community events, providing local outreach programs, recognizing outstanding citizens through its Citizen of the Year program, and representing our community at regional and state levels. Through their commitment to service and community betterment, the GFWC Curwensville Woman’s Club continues to make a lasting impact, helping to strengthen Curwensville for generations to come.
About the Race

Where: Curwensville Pa. Registration is at Irvin Park Route 453 S
When: Saturday June 20, 2026. Registration 7:30am-8:30am. All events will begin at 9:00am. Busses will depart from Irvin for the starting lines promptly at 8:30am
The Course: The course follows Rails to Trails starting at a 10K spot or a 5K spot towards Clearfield. Runners proceed towards Curwensville ending at Irvin Park. Walkers course also follows Rails to Trails also ending in the park. An emergency vehile will follow the race.
Divisions for Run or Walk: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
Awards: Trophys awarded to the fastest overall male & female participants in the 10K runs. Medals to 1st & 2nd place male & femals finishers in each division for all events. The award presentiation will be at the park following the race. Winners must be present to receive awards.
Entry Fee: Entry Fee (included T-shirt) is $25, if application is post marked by June13th. From June 14th to race day entry fee is $30 (T-shirts as available after pre-registration period)
Group Rate: Groups of 4 or more(families, companies, clubs, ect.) must preregister together. $20 per preregistration entrat (If postmarked by June 13, 2026)
Services: Water stations at mile 2 & 4; splits at each mile. Drinks and fruits available at finish line. Race will be times and results tabulated by "Runners High" (www.runhigh.com)
Course Record: Jake Walker 30.45; Mindy Sawtell 35.45 (winners for 10K race only)
